The Tiered Curriculum:
At Langton Green we are very mindful of teacher-workload and recognize that it is unmanageable to formulate a ‘one size fits all’ approach to every subject within our curriculum. Therefore, we have arranged our curriculum across three tiers. Each tier is developed, planned for and assessed differently. The tiers do not show any kind of value; we are conscious of the need to provide a balanced curriculum with access to “a full range of subjects” for all of our pupils.

All of our planning for all of the subjects is rooted in the National Curriculum Programme of Study and the statutory end of key stage frameworks. However, we expect our pupils to have access to a curriculum which takes those documents as a minimum and challenges them to work on skills and subject content beyond these outlines.
