Parents
At LGPS, we know that parents play absolutely vital roles in the education of the children in our school.
We aim to work with parents in a collaborative, positive and solution-focussed manner to ensure that we can deliver the very best for all of the children in our care. Our staff are always available for a quick chat face-to-face at the start and end of the day to discuss any concerns that you might have or support you might need.
If you would like a longer conversation about your child and their learning, you can email their class teacher via the school office, or you make an appointment for a telephone call or a face-to-face meeting, again through the school office.
We encourage parents to get involved in school life. Please speak to your child's teacher if you could volunteer with any of the following:
- Reading with pupils
- Supporting on trips
- Sharing your skills and interests with the pupils
- Running an after school club
Please note that the school will always prioritise volunteers with relevant and up to date DBS checks when looking for support in order to meet our safeguarding responsibilities.
