Langton Green Primary School

Get To Know Us

Langton Green Primary School is a magical place and we encourage anyone interested in the school to get in touch with us and come for a guided tour so that you can see this for yourself.

Whether you are looking for a Reception starter place or considering an in-year move, we look forward to talking to you about your child and the provision here at Langton. Information about the admissions process and opportunities for tours can be found under the Admissions tab on the website.

Please find below a 'virtual tour' that we recorded during the pandemic. Much of the information is still relevant and it is an excellent insight into the day-to-day life of the school:

Core values

Our school core values guide us every day and are the basis for talking to the children about our behaviour expectations and learning opportunities. We would encourage all prospective parents to read about our core values and consider whether they would suit your child.

Please click here to find out more about our school core values.

We are also guided by fundamental British values, which we use to help pupils to be responsible 21st century citizens of the world. All of these values combine to help us to reflect on how we promote equality and diversity across the school, which we explore at many different levels in all year groups. We promote tolerance and empathy with people of other cultures, nationalities, religions and lifestyles and use school as a safe place to actively engage with social justice issues. Our pupils time and time again show themselves to be kind, courageous individuals with a keen sense of justice - we never shy away from tackling "big issues" with them in a sensitive and appropriate way.

We have high expectations of our school curriculum, which is a rigorous and highly sequenced pathway of learning experiences. Teachers and leaders use deliberate metacognitive and neurological strategies to organise the curriculum and the lessons so that pupils build and retain knowledge over time.

Please click here to find out more about the organisation of our school curriculum.

Under the curriculum tab on the website you will also find lots more information about the individual subjects, forest school, mental health & well-being and other areas of school life.

We would also encourage you to follow us on Instagram (@langton_green_primary) and to look at our Event Gallery page to get a sense of all of the events and experiences that supplement our pupils' learning here at Langton.
